An event every week that begins at 7:30pm on Tuesday, repeating indefinitely
These Belly Dance sessions are split into 2 hours.
In the first hour we will learn and dance “American Tribal Style” moves (ATS) a beautiful improvised group dance lead by instinctive cues, evoking the powerful mesmerizing energy of women.
Both classes will include some yoga based stretches for warm up and cool down, posture alignment for dance and brake down of technique practiced through repetition.
In the second hour we will fuse the ATS moves with other dance forms characteristic of “Tribal Fusion Belly Dance.”
Tribal Fusion Belly Dance is a modern form of belly dance which has evolved from American Tribal Style belly dancing, blending elements of ATS with any other style of dance. It frequently incorporates elements from Popping, Hip-hop, Breakdance, ‘Egyptian’ or ‘Cabaret’ belly dance, as well as from traditional forms such as Flamenco, Kathak, Bhangra, Balinese, and other folkloric dance styles.
