About The Course

This innovative performance-based programme intended for students who are interested in developing practical actor training which emphasises the creation and production of new theatre. The course aims to provide students with the skills required to develop all elements of performance techniques for both the stage and the media industries.

Who Is It For?

The emphasis of the course is on the creation of contemporary theatre whilst reflecting the current developments in theatre, integrating acting for stage and camera whilst constantly developing professional performance techniques. Modules focus on core principles of voice, acting techniques and movement necessary for contemporary performance, through a balance of theory and practice and a diverse programme of live performance work.

What will I do on this course?

Year 1:
You will study a wide range of genres and practitioners, exploring their work and allowing a variety of methods to influence your own creative practice. You will develop techniques through a variety of vocational performance projects using techniques/methodologies to develop skills as a theatre maker. You will be taught and directed by industry professionals, engaging with the theatre scene in Bristol/Bath as an audience member and actor in public performances to theatre and media professionals.
