In between organising community events such as Picton Street Winter and Summer fayres and encouraging neighbours to get together, Alex works as a freelance illustrator and artist. Her quirky, humorous designs can be seen across Bristol, including large scale commissions in the Triodos Bank, The Bristol Bike Project and The Playing Cards on the neighbours’ seven foot gates and inside The Birdcage, Bristol’s first coffee and vintage clothing boutique. Several of Alex’s foxes may be spotted in Montpelier and Easton and a tiger in a hoodie design was accepted for the Bristol £5 note.
With a thirst for fine lines and delicate pointillism, Isaac’s detailed pen and ink illustrations explore animal, human anatomical and geometrically influenced themes. As a heavy-metal-teen in the early nineties, Jimbob absorbed comic books, gig posters and rock album art. While falling in love with Alphonse Mucha and beginning to play in his first and long-running band, Taint (now playing in Hark.) Isaac’s earlier steps in graphic design and vector based illustration have given way to full time drawing, and since 2010 he has committed himself to the mighty pen. Jimbob has broadened his rendering methods into the analogue domain, with unique pen and ink pieces while utilizing digital colouring.
