Lyrical Contemporary – Beginner / Intermediate
November 16 @ 3:45 pm - 4:45 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)
An event every week that begins at 3:45pm on Friday, repeating indefinitely
Lyrical contemporary is a fusion of ballet, modern, jazz and contemporary. It’s gained a lot of popularity in recent years, thanks to shows like BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance. And it’s perfect for anyone who wants to move freely and with feeling.
In every class, we’ll work on a range of routines. Some will be soft and graceful. Others will be fiery and fast. All of them will be exciting, creative and expressive.
To me, dance is about feeling good. So my teaching style is supportive, upbeat and motivating. I encourage everyone to get comfortable as soon as they step foot in the studio. And I make sure everyone leaves with a smile on their face and a spring in their step.
Classes are open to anyone and everyone. No formal training needed — just a love for movement and a willingness to have a bit of fun. If you’re new to dance, try to the beg/int class (15.45-16.45) in Studio 1. If you’ve done classes before, come to advanced (16.45-17.45). And if you’re not sure, come to both! Many people too.
We’re a fun, sociable and open group. And we regularly perform in competitions, shows and festivals (for anyone who wants to – these are not mandatory). So if you’d like to get involved, just come along to a class or contact me for more information…
Classes are £6 each or you can buy 6 for the price of 5.
