Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan offers an opportunity to find new strength and balance on all levels. It will improve flexibility and muscle tone, but this is just the beginning.
We work with strengthening the nervous system and glandular system, rejuvenating the body and restoring energy levels, stamina and focus.
We work with releasing unhelpful patterns of behavior, balancing the mind and emotions and lightening the subconscious. We work with strengthening and clearing the energetic system and the aura.
Kundalini yoga offers support and nourishment, empowering you to live more fully and fearlessly, and to discover your true potential. It could be seen as a tool kit for healing mind and body and cultivating a connection with the soul.
We use sets of relatively simple and accessible exercises, organised into specific sequences, combining dynamic and classical postures, breath, mantra, meditation, relaxation and more.
Each week we will focus on a particular kriya or set of exercises, which works to bring about a specific effect.
Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness, and the yoga of experience. The best way to find out what this means, is to try it!
This is a drop in class and everyone is welcome, from beginners onwards. Mats are provided. Please bring a blanket for relaxation, if you have one.
