Introduction To Graffiti

August 13 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on 15th October 2017 at 11:00am

£45

Led by a Bristol graffiti artist, this workshop will give you an introduction to graffiti history, styles and techniques.

We will start with a guided tour of some of Bristol’s famous street art, to give you some background and inspiration, then return to Hamilton House to get hands-on.

You will design a graffiti name, create a small board using paint markers, and try your hand at spray-painting and stenciling on large boards and canvases.

All materials are provided, as well as teas, coffee and biscuits, and you will have two pieces to take away with you.

No previous experience is required. Minimum age 16.

In the first of a series of collaborations with Jazbaa Indian Culture Collective, and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Indian independence, Graft is adding an Indian twist to our Introduction to Graffiti workshop at Hamilton House. We will be specially designing some Indian-inspired stencils so you can create your own unique canvas with a subcontinental flavour!

Tickets can be booked through Eventbrite.
