Bristol Dance Classes

DMAC UK is Dance Music Arts Collective, a group of dancers, artists, yoga practitioners, martial artists and drummers, offering Bristol dance classes, movement classes, really anything under the banner of physical arts.

DMAC’s aims and objectives are to provide a home for artists at a reasonable price, to run classes in the heart of the city, representing a diverse range of dance and movement. DMAC firmly believes in the power of music, movement, drumming, yoga, meditation, martial arts and song, to help us get in touch with ourselves, empower ourselves and increase our sense of self-confidence and inner wellbeing.

DMAC UK runs two lovely dance studios on the fourth floor of Hamilton House, overlooking Stokes Croft. Experienced practitioners run classes in African Dance, Drumming, 5 Rhythms Dance, Belly Dance, Capoeira, Salsa, Nia Dance, Bellyfit, Ballet and Ballates, Flamenco, Contact Improvisation, Tango, Chi Gung, Choir and more.

All classes are available to beginners and experienced students alike, and of course DMAC is always looking for new Bristol dance classes to expand the range on offer at the studios. As well as the regular classes, the studios are host to weekend and special one-off master classes.

DMAC UK also has an active interest in education. The studios are open all day, and offer space for after school clubs, and DMAC is pursuing an education programme in schools, offering dance and movement, martial art and drumming courses for Primary and Secondary age children. The focus is on the physical side, which always proves enriching and liberating for children, but also on the historical and cultural aspect of the various arts, so that the courses offer a cross curriculum package.
