Sandra Alonso – Holistic, Deep Tissue & Thai Foot Massage
In June 2009, Sandra was awarded the MTI (Massage Training Institute) diploma in Holistic Massage, Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology during her training at the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork.
Sandra is dedicated to deepening her knowledge and quality of touch and has done further training in Deep Tissue Work, Side Lying, Chair Massage, Thai Foot Reflexology and Gentle Traditional Thai Massage. Her massage incorporates techniques from many traditions using a variety of tools including stretching, body rocking, mobilisation and deep relaxation.
Sandra personally feels that we can include massage in our daily lives to help us feel at our best and maintain good health. When we have regular massage, we give ourselves the perfect space for deep relaxation and to heal on many levels.
She uses a holistic approach taking in consideration the individual needs. Using different techniques she can provide a relaxing and restorative experience or treat specific areas of pain and discomfort.
Deep Tissue Massage
Sandra applies slower strokes with deeper pressure concentrating on the areas of tension and pain by using fingertips, knuckles, elbows or forearms when needed.
Thai Foot Massage
It’s a relaxing and invigorating massage on the feet and lower legs. Sandra uses a Thai wooden stick to stimulate the reflex points on the feet that correspond to the internal organs of the body. This can help bring the body to balance and promote general wellbeing.
Thai Foot Massage will usually last 60mins. It can be performed as a stand-alone treatment or can be combined with 30 minutes of head, hands and shoulders massage.
Sessions last either 60 or 90 minutes. The first treatment involves an initial consultation that will normally last from 5 to 15 minutes depending on the client history.
