Emma Shearing – Counselling
Everyone finds life challenging at times. Often, people find it helpful to share their difficulties with an independent person, to make sense of what is happening, and find a way forward.
We can work collaboratively, in a sensitive and non-judgemental way, to unravel what is troubling or overwhelming you. You may be experiencing a crisis, a major change in your life circumstances, or feel anxious, depressed or stuck. Perhaps childhood issues are impacting on your life now, or you are struggling with relationships.
Whatever you want to discuss, we can talk openly and confidentially. I am a Person-Centred Counsellor, which means that I base my work on creating a relationship of deep understanding, acceptance and empathy. You are the expert on how you think and feel, and together we can work to help you discover a sense of self and a way of being that feels right for you.
I graduated 11 years ago and have worked with adults with a range of life-issues, including bereavement, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse.
A 50-minute introductory session is £10. Subsequent sessions £35.
